sculpture

I create sculptures using wood, glass, resin, polymer clay, and found materials—objects that catch my eye and spark the impulse to transform them. From preloved furniture to discarded toys and metal scraps, sourcing materials is an essential part of my process.

Wood, with its rich textures and tones, has become a primary focus. After shaping hundreds of individual pieces for installations like Outside In and Timeless, I felt compelled to push this medium further. My sculptural forms—often mask-like and exaggerated—draw from my portrait paintings/drawings and are influenced by artists such as Thomas Houseago, Picasso, Huma Bhabha, and Jean Dubuffet.

Glass also plays a role in my practice. First introduced to glassblowing at university, I experimented with combining hand-blown pieces with figurative elements and found objects, creating playful, layered compositions.

The sculptures below have been exhibited in art prizes, solo and group exhibitions, and commissioned installations.
